No surprise, that Ride Along is the number 1 movie in the country. Kevin Hart and Ice Cube stars in this funny comedy that reminds me of 48 hours, Training day, and Heat all in one. In my opinion, I think Hart is the next Eddie Murphy when it comes to an African-American comedian in movies. The movie was funny but the story line was just okay. I wish the plot was a little better but hey -it was still number #1 at the box office.
Kevin Hart plays Ben, a high school security guard who desperately wants to be a cop. His girlfriend (Tiki Sumpter) has an over protective brother, James (Ice Cube), a detective known for his hot temper. James doesn't like Ben and arranges him to take him on a Ride Along. James hope this will discourage him to join the force and not to date his sister anymore. James wanted to terrify Ben at first, but once the pair cross path with Atlanta's infamous criminal, all bets are off.
The movie also starts John Leguizamo and Laurence Fishburne
